Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marko Kersikov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Street! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Street at a distance.
Street scoring well with a low kick there.
Kersikov blocks a head kick by Street.
Street misses with a looping right. Kersikov looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Kersikov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Street was well out of range. Poor timing from Kersikov. Michael Street seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Street ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Street will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kersikov throwing a counter right hand but Street manages to avoid it. Street drops his hands momentarily and Kersikov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kersikov pivots, looking for a leg kick but Street is out of range and Kersikov settles back down. Street tries to score with a low kick but Kersikov moves his leg out of the way. Street misses with a body kick. Street looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kersikov throws a quick inside leg kick. Street moves out of range of the strikes. A kick lands to the mid section there for Kersikov. Street lands a head kick!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kersikov scoring well with a low kick there.

Street tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Street takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kersikov attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Street goes for a double leg but Kersikov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kersikov continues to drive forward.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov thumps Street with a low kick. Kersikov connects with a single shot there. Kersikov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kersikov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Street looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Street looks winded! Street fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Marko Kersikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Street. Street dives in for a single leg takedown but Kersikov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A nice inside leg kick there by Kersikov. That's going to slow Street down. Kersikov lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kersikov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Street's calf. Kersikov throws a front kick aimed at Street's knee but Street avoids it well. Kersikov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Street moves away. Street dodges the punch combination from Kersikov.
Street tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kersikov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kersikov stuffs the takedown attempt from Street. Street gets slowly back to his feet. Good standup being displayed there by Street as he connects with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kersikov blocks the body kick.
Kersikov is looking to wear down Street with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kersikov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Street. Street wants to land a leg kick but Kersikov is out of range. Kersikov takes one to the chin there. Kersikov scores with a push kick. Kersikov blocks a leg kick. As Street backs away, Kersikov returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Kersikov lands a jab to the nose. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kersikov. Street shrugs it off though. Kersikov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Street's calf. Marko Kersikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kersikov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kersikov cracks a nice hook into Street's ribs. Street goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kersikov lands with a straight right. Street didn't see that one coming. Kersikov misses with a body shot.
A leg kick checked by Street. Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Kersikov moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Street! Kersikov continues to tee off on Street, landing with a left and a right! Kersikov connects with a right hand that leaves Street sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Kersikov!
