Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keiran Corkhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keiran Corkhill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Richards! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corkhill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Corkhill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Richards counters with a lovely shot to the body. Richards lands a right hook to the body.
Richards fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Richards throws a hook but Corkhill avoids it easily. Corkhill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Richards but Richards pushes him off and we're back to square one. Richards is trying to counter with his kicks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keiran Corkhill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Corkhill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Richards sprawls well. Richards wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Corkhill gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richards explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richards thuds a left hand into Corkhill's body. Corkhill takes a body punch but keeps moving. Corkhill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Richards circles away. Corkhill seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Corkhill fails to land the takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Corkhill is defended easily by Richards. Corkhill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Richards is fending him off so far but Corkhill persists. Nope, Richards circles away and we're back to standing. Corkhill shoots in but Richards avoids the takedown attempt easily. Richards is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Richards works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Richards throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Corkhill or perhaps it was just good defense by Richards, which made it look bad. Richards connects with a solid leg kick. Corkhill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Richards but Richards pushes him off and we're back to square one. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Richards! But no joy. Richards's coach down at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $600 fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Richards's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Corkhill shoots in looking for a takedown but Richards manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Corkhill's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Richards misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Corkhill.
Richards stuns Corkhill with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Richards scoring well with a low kick there.
Richards is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Corkhill rather than just go for the knockout. Richards fakes the leg kick and cracks Corkhill in the body. Corkhill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Richards as he avoids it easily. Sloppy strikes from Richards. Those never looked like landing. Corkhill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Richards is fending him off so far but Corkhill persists. Nope, Richards circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richards thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Corkhill if he has to take too many more of those.
Richards stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Richards wants it to stay on the feet. Corkhill on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Corkhill has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Richards finds it's way round the side to connect with Corkhill's head. Corkhill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nice body kick from Richards. Richards slaps away a takedown attempt from Corkhill, before circling back to the center of the mat. Richards follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Richards moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Corkhill. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Richards tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Corkhill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corkhill tries for a kimura but Richards is defending well. Corkhill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Corkhill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Who's going to make the next move? Richards gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Richards dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Corkhill dives in and grabs Richards's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richards pushes down on Corkhill's head and hops out. Richards tries a quick counter leg kick but Corkhill is wise to it. Richards with a body punch. A glancing blow. Richards throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Corkhill stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Corkhill ducks right into an uppercut from Richards. Crunch! Richards slams his shin into Corkhill's torso. Richards fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Corkhill has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Corkhill closes the distance and clinches up with Richards, looking for a takedown. Corkhill pushes Richards against the cage but Richards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Corkhill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Richards sprawls well. Richards wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Corkhill gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keiran Corkhill. That's one minute gone in the round. Corkhill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Richards sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Corkhill somewhat. Richards swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Richards feints and then cracks Corkhill's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Corkhill down. Corkhill will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Richards swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Corkhill tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Richards manages to circle out of the way. Richards lands with a right hand. Corkhill misses with a takedown and Richards counters with a stiff right hand. Corkhill takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Richards cracks Corkhill with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Corkhill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richards tries to avoid it but Corkhill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richards to the ground. Richards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Corkhill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Richards's waist but Richards gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corkhill off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richards lands with a nice body kick. Corkhill takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Corkhill with a lazy takedown attempt and Richards counters with an outside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Richards throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Richards fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Richards feints and then cracks Corkhill's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Corkhill down. Corkhill takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Richards cracks Corkhill with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Richards lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Corkhill takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Corkhill takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Richards smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. A kick lands to the mid section there for Richards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richards lands a front kick. Richards throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Richards dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Corkhill dives in for a single leg takedown but Richards sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Richards swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Richards lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Corkhill is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Richards scores with a hook to the body. Corkhill takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Richards scores with a kick to the body.
Corkhill takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Corkhill with a poor takedown and Richards counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Good standup being displayed there by Richards as he connects with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Richards misses with a two punch combination.

Corkhill with a lazy takedown attempt and Richards counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Corkhill shoots in for a double leg but Richards sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Corkhill stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Richards. Richards throws a nice outside leg kick. Corkhill with a lazy takedown attempt and Richards counters with a lovely straight right hand! Richards throws a quick inside leg kick. Richards digs a good body shot into Corkhill's ribs. Richards fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Richards lands with a slapping head kick. Sean Richards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of him. Richards lands with a right hand. Corkhill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Richards dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corkhill. That did some damage!

A chopping leg kick lands by Richards. Corkhill closes the distance and clinches up with Richards, looking for a takedown. Corkhill pushes Richards against the cage but Richards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Richards steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Corkhill shoots in but no luck this time. Richards moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Corkhill has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Richards. Corkhill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richards tries to avoid it but Corkhill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richards to the ground. Richards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Keiran Corkhill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Richards connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sean Richards seems to be getting the better of the standup. Corkhill shoots in looking for a takedown. Richards tries to sprawl out of it but Corkhill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richards manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Richards lands a nice looking body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Corkhill dives in and grabs Richards's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richards pushes down on Corkhill's head and hops out. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Corkhill crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Richards - the referee stops the clock and Corkhill gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Richards. Corkhill manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Corkhill misses with a takedown attempt and Richards counters with a straight right hand. Good exchange - Richards coming out on top. Richards digs a good hook to Corkhill's body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Richards scores with a decent looking hook. Corkhill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Richards makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Richards lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Richards, right into the meat.
Richards cracks a nice hook into Corkhill's ribs. Sean Richards is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Richards avoids the head kick by Corkhill.
And that's the end of the fight! Sean Richards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Richards winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
