The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Poon. Those never looked like landing.
Poon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Woobh swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Poon lands a lovely overhand right.
Poon misses with a looping right.
Poon looks to throw the jab but Woobh is out of range.
Koo Poon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poon misses with an uppercut. Woobh saw that one coming.
Woobh displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Poon throws out the jab.
Woobh ducks under a wild hook from Poon.

Woobh replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Poon blocks it well.
Poon throws a lazy right hand but Woobh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Poon is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Woobh's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Woobh gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Woobh using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Poon has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Poon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Poon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Poon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Poon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Poon prevents Woobh from improving his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Poon seems to be working for a kimura but Woobh defends the submission attempt.

Woobh flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Poon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Woobh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Poon.
Poon has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Woobh defend it? Poon steps over the head and cranks it - Woobh is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Poon!
