The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a leg kick but Lasson sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gunnar Lasson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lasson takes one on the button.
Lasson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hughes pinned against the cage. Hughes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hughes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lasson tries to counter with a takedown but Hughes is quick to defend against it.
Lasson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hughes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's time! Lasson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Hughes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lasson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hughes's waist but Hughes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lasson off to one side.

A very excited looking Gunnar Lasson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
