Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeromy Mcdowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mystic Oracle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mystic Oracle acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeromy Mcdowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mystic Oracle!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oracle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mcdowell moves out of range of the body kick from Oracle.
Oracle misses with a shot to the body
and Mcdowell counters with a left and a right that stings Oracle.

Oracle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Oracle content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcdowell taking some punishment here, with Oracle in his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oracle trying to control the action but Mcdowell is working from the bottom.

Oracle is looking for a kimura here.

Oracle is working for a submission of some sort.
Oracle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcdowell keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Oracle wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcdowell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mcdowell is looking to improve his position.
Oracle thows a huge punch but Mcdowell dodges it nicely.
Mcdowell controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Oracle wants to free his trapped foot but Mcdowell is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Oracle is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mcdowell is not content to let Oracle control the position.
Mcdowell really is a fat lump.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mcdowell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mcdowell shoots in for a double leg but Oracle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mcdowell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As Oracle tries to get set, Mcdowell tries to push him back and clinch up but Oracle manages to avoid the attempt.
Mcdowell ducks under a wild hook from Oracle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcdowell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Oracle as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeromy Mcdowell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mcdowell rushes Oracle and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mystic Oracle dominated that round.

Mcdowell fails to land the takedown.
A head kick misses from Oracle.
Mcdowell tries to counter by clinching up but Oracle breaks away and moves out of range.

Oracle's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Oracle blocks the elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcdowell is working for takedown but Oracle is calmly controlling the position for now.
Oracle prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeromy Mcdowell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A bit of stalling here from Oracle.

Oracle is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mcdowell pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mcdowell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Oracle is pressed up against the cage. Mcdowell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Oracle down to the mat. Oracle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Oracle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mcdowell moves away.
A combination from Oracle does no damage.
Mcdowell half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Mcdowell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oracle tries to avoid it but Mcdowell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oracle to the ground. Oracle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Oracle with the counter takedown but Mcdowell avoids it easily.

Oracle rushes Mcdowell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oracle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Oracle content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Mcdowell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Oracle taking a breather.
Oracle is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Oracle stalling the fight.
Oracle leaning his opponent against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mystic Oracle.
Oracle keeps the fight on the outside.
Oracle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcdowell as he jumps to the side.
Oracle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Oracle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcdowell sprawls well. Mcdowell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oracle gets slowly back to his feet.
Oracle throws a body punch but Mcdowell moves out of range.

Oracle moves into range and clinches up with Mcdowell.
Mcdowell looking for a takedown.
Mcdowell tries to score a body lock takedown but Oracle shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Mcdowell breaks the clinch.
Oracle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcdowell avoids it really well and circles away.
Mcdowell attempts a counter takedown but Oracle avoids it well and moves away.
Jeromy Mcdowell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Oracle misses with a head kick.
Oracle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Oracle shoots in but no luck this time.

Oracle has managed to clinch.
Oracle holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Mcdowell tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mystic Oracle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Oracle decides to pull guard.
Oracle is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Oracle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mcdowell postures up.

Mcdowell postures up in Oracle's guard and throws a big left but Oracle blocks it.

Oracle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mcdowell is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Oracle.
Oracle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Oracle is trying to improve his position.
Mcdowell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Oracle to see if he's OK.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mcdowell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Oracle rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mcdowell's guard! Nice work there by Oracle!
Oracle trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcdowell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oracle advances position into side control!
Mcdowell is looking to reverse the position.
Oracle trying to control the action but Mcdowell is working from the bottom.

Oracle decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Oracle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Oracle closes the distance and clinches.
Oracle is trying to force a seperation but Mcdowell has the dominant position.
Mcdowell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oracle gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Mystic Oracle is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mcdowell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Oracle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mcdowell gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Oracle wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mcdowell can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeromy Mcdowell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oracle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mcdowell gets underhooks to prevent Oracle's takedown attempt.

Well Oracle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
