Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Holman avoids the head kick by Thomas.

Holman tries to sprawl but Thomas drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Thomas is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holman tries to get to full guard but Thomas has control of the leg.
Thomas wants to pass to mount but Holman is defending the position.
Thomas slows the pace down in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Thomas is going to stand back up.

Thomas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Holman manages to get himself to full guard.

Thomas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Thomas scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Holman to see if he's OK.

Jacob Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Holman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thomas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Holman has managed to get both his arms back between Thomas's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thomas doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Thomas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Holman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Thomas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Holman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Jacob Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Thomas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
