Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Normand Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Revell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jack Revell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Normand Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Revell! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Revell misses the shot to the body. Revell feints and as Burns raises his hands in defense, Revell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Revell won't allow Burns to sweep him here. Burns preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Burns keeping full guard, as Revell tries to pass. Revell controls from within his opponent's guard. Burns has momentary wrist control but Revell slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Revell wanted to stand there but Burns had control of the position. Revell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Revell is working Burns over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Revell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Revell pushing down on Burns's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Burns really is a fat lump. Revell working the head and body with strikes. Still in half guard, Revell seems content to control. Revell passes to side control. Revell landing strikes. Revell is working Burns over with some ground and pound from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Revell off and has taken his back! Revell wants to get back to his feet. Revell turns into Burns and is now in his guard.
Revell stands up over Burns, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Revell wants to get up but he can't break Burns's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Revell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Revell wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving. Revell controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Revell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burns's guard. Burns might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Revell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Revell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Revell lands with a punch from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Revell is going to stand back up.
Revell is controlling the pace.
Revell is working for a kimura but Burns is defending it quite comfortably.

Jack Revell dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Burns closes the distance looking to clinch and Revell counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Revell shoots in for a takedown but Burns shows good takedown defense. Revell gets in close and instigates a clinch. Revell fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burns gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Revell.
Normand Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Revell. Revell lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Revell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Revell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Revell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Burns gets to his feet - Revell follows without any prompting. Revell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Burns is looking for a sweep. Revell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Revell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Revell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Burns tries to get to full guard but Revell has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Revell trying to control the action but Burns is working from the bottom. Revell is working for a kimura but Burns is defending it quite comfortably.
Revell looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Revell perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns is staying active underneath Revell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Revell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Burns wants to improve his position but Revell is controlling well.
Revell wants to stand but Burns has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Revell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Revell seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Revell wants to stand up but Burns manages to regain full guard. Revell lands a couple of decent looking shots. Revell lands a couple of digs. Burns looking to hit a scissor sweep but Revell is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Revell tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Revell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Revell is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Burns still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Burns has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Revell is trying to control Burns's posture but Burns avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Revell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Revell tries for a takedown but Burns circles away easily and Burns counters with a left to the body. Burns gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Revell is looking to stand up but Burns won't let him. Revell chips away with some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Revell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burns is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Revell, into his guard. Revell striking off his back.

Revell is looking to stand up but Burns isn't so interested in that idea. Burns is looking to work some ground and pound but Revell has wrist control. Revell wants to stand up but Burns is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Revell can do anything to dispel that myth. Burns stopping the sweep attempt from Revell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Revell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Revell controls Burns momentarily but Burns frees himself.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Burns moves in looking to clinch but Revell pushes him off. Revell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Revell off to one side. Revell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Revell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burns defends it nicely. Burns is looking to counter the offense by Revell and move into the clinch. Normand Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Revell.

Revell tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Burns defends well and Revell ends up having to push Burns into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Revell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Revell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Burns manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jack Revell has got the better of the ground game so far. Burns is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Burns is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Revell sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Burns doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Revell paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Burns - great work!
