Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Zoreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Angstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Zoreman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Angstrom! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zoreman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Angstrom swivels and escapes. Zoreman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Angstrom pinned against the cage. Angstrom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Angstrom scores with a shot to the body.
Zoreman shoots in looking for a takedown. Angstrom tries to sprawl out of it but Zoreman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Angstrom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Zoreman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zoreman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Angstrom as he avoids it easily. Zoreman fails with the takedown and Angstrom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Angstrom controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zoreman slips a jab and a cross from Angstrom.

Angstrom throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zoreman. Zoreman shoots in for a takedown but Angstrom shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Angstrom gets a takedown into half guard. Angstrom trying to mount his opponent but Zoreman defends it. Zoreman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Angstrom on the ground. Zoreman is not content to let Angstrom control the position.

Well, if Angstrom is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Angstrom dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Zoreman gets caught flat footed, as Angstrom shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Angstrom is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Angstrom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Angstrom wants to control from the top but Zoreman keeps moving. Zoreman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Angstrom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zoreman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Zoreman keeping moving, preventing Angstrom from controlling successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angstrom is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Steve Zoreman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zoreman fails with a takedown attempt. Zoreman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A big right from Angstrom misses. Angstrom has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zoreman dives in for a single leg takedown but Angstrom sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zoreman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Angstrom swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Zoreman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Angstrom is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zoreman's half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Angstrom seems to be working for a kimura but Zoreman defends the submission attempt. Angstrom stalling. Angstrom working over Zoreman with some ground and pound. Zoreman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Angstrom takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Angstrom wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zoreman keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zoreman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Angstrom uses his free foot to push down on Zoreman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zoreman. Angstrom trying to control but Zoreman is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Angstrom cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Angstrom landing punches. Angstrom is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zoreman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zoreman shrugs it off. Angstrom lands a heavy elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Angstrom has control of Zoreman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zoreman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Harry Angstrom showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Angstrom postures up in Zoreman's guard and throws a big left but Zoreman blocks it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Angstrom trying to control from half guard but Zoreman is working away. Angstrom working Zoreman over with strikes. Angstrom has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Angstrom can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zoreman is looking to escape. Harry Angstrom is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angstrom content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angstrom postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zoreman looks a forlorn figure.
Angstrom controlling from mount. Let's hope that Angstrom has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

And that's the end of the fight! Harry Angstrom comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Angstrom has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
