Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Cirus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chip Freedom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cirus comes to the ring accompanied by Lonely Boy - The Black Keys. Freedom has chosen Star Spangled Banner as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Cirus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 32 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chip Freedom! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cirus avoids the body shot from Freedom.
Chip Freedom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cirus scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Freedom is trying to stand up here but Cirus is controlling him well. Cirus lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Freedom is looking for a sweep. Cirus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nice strikes from Cirus there. Cirus is looking to take a break and control but Freedom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. The referee is taking a good look at Cirus as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Freedom!

It looks like Tom Cirus has been cut. Freedom throws a head kick but Cirus moves out of range.
Cirus misses with a takedown attempt - Freedom sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cirus shoots in looking for a takedown. Freedom tries to sprawl out of it but Cirus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Freedom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A countering left hand to the body from Freedom misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Cirus. Freedom is looking to reverse the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cirus throwing strikes but Freedom manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Cirus is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Freedom asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Freedom in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Cirus is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Freedom has just dragged him back down to the mat. Freedom is putting a hurting on Cirus here, landing some big shots from side control. Cirus is pushing Freedom's head away, looking to escape. Freedom manages to hold on to the position though. Freedom scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cirus to see if he's OK.
Cirus is rocked! Cirus is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Cirus throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Cirus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Freedom as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Cirus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Freedom ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Freedom looks to score with a jab to the body but Cirus is just out of range.

Cirus landing some decent shots from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cirus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cirus trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Freedom lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Freedom makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cirus has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Freedom is pushing him up against the ropes, looking to control the position. Freedom content to slow the pace in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Freedom is pressed up against the ropes. Cirus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Freedom down to the mat. Freedom avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Chip Freedom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice body punch from Freedom. Freedom is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cirus rather than just go for the knockout. A head kick misses from Freedom. Cirus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Freedom avoids it really well and circles away. Freedom tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cirus is able to avoid easily. Freedom thuds a left hand into Cirus's body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cirus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Freedom looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cirus landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Freedom struggling a bit here. Check out the look on Cirus's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That was a close second round but I would say that Tom Cirus will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tom Cirus's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Cirus stands up over Freedom, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Freedom wants to sweep but no luck. Cirus trying to control the position from guard on top but Freedom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cirus working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Freedom's head. Cirus lands a couple of elbows. Freedom is looking to stand up but Cirus isn't so interested in that idea. Freedom preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cirus with a nice head shot there. Cirus is in close to Freedom's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cirus throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Freedom works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cirus throwing strikes but missing. Cirus trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Freedom avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Freedom looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cirus wants to control from the top but Freedom keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A looping hook to the body misses from Freedom. Cirus does a little dance to reset his feet. Cirus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cirus working the ground and pound but Freedom is defending the strikes. Freedom takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Freedom is trying to buck Cirus off. Cirus lands a nice forearm strike. Freedom is not content to let Cirus control the position. Tom Cirus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirus working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Freedom is rocked! Cirus scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Freedom is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Cirus can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Cirus! An out of breath Tom Cirus thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
