Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Illianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yukio Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka lands with a nice body punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Illianenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanaka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tanaka wants to stand but Illianenko is controlling his posture from full guard.

Illianenko throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tanaka uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Illianenko here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Illianenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
