Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BIG BLACK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza misses with a wild combination.
Souza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has BLACK pinned against the cage. BLACK gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Souza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
BLACK fails with a takedown attempt.
BLACK wants to clinch.
BLACK throws a series of punches but Souza moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souza tries to clinch up but BLACK circles away and keeps his distance.
Souza has his takedown stuffed
and BLACK counters with a nice uppercut.

BLACK tries for a takedown but Souza circles away easily
and Souza holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Souza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says BLACK as he avoids it easily.
BLACK tries to clinch but Souza moves out of range.
BLACK closes the distance but Souza moves to the side
and Souza moves into the clinch.

Souza tries to break the clinch but BLACK is controlling the position.
Souza keeps control of BLACK as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

BLACK jumps into guard, dragging Souza to the mat.
BLACK looking for subs off his back but Souza has passed one foot through into half guard.
Souza is thwarting BLACK's attempts to control the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

BLACK is trying to keep Souza in close.
BLACK is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Souza is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

BLACK misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and BLACK counters with a big head kick but Souza shrugs it off.
BLACK shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Souza as he jumps to the side.
Souza tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but BLACK paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Souza throws a series of punches but BLACK moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nice takedown defense from BLACK. No joy for Souza on that attempt.

BLACK fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Souza throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nice sprawl there from BLACK as Souza shoots in.
BLACK changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Souza tries to avoid it but BLACK manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Souza to the ground. Souza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Souza looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
BLACK with a poor takedown
and Souza moves into the clinch.
BLACK blocks a body shot from Souza.
Souza gets control of BLACK's arms and successfully pulls guard. Souza will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as BLACK accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
BLACK wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.
Souza is trying to control the position but BLACK postures up.

BLACK landing with the ground and pound.
Souza lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for BLACK!
BLACK tries to improve his position but instead Souza has taken his back!
BLACK takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Souza is trying to stick to BLACK's back but BLACK is turning into Souza. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Souza's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by BLACK.
Souza throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
BLACK has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Souza gets the takedown into side control.
Souza has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A head kick misses from Souza.
BLACK comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Souza closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

BLACK is looking to improve his position.
BLACK trying to get back to full guard but Souza takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Souza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - BLACK looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Souza counters by moving into the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, BLACK throws an elbow but misses.
BLACK is working for takedown but Souza is calmly controlling the position for now.
Souza manages to break the clinch.
BLACK ducks under a wild hook from Souza.
Horrible takedown by Souza or perhaps it was just good defense by BLACK which made him look bad.

Souza is looking for a sweep. BLACK is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Souza wants to control but BLACK is keeping busy.
It looks like BLACK is going to stand back up.
BLACK sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Souza defending well though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
BLACK is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Souza throws a head kick but BLACK moves out of range.
BLACK darts in and clinches Souza up against the cage.
Souza tries to pull guard but BLACK won't allow it.
BIG BLACK has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Souza.
Souza is working for takedown but BLACK is calmly controlling the position for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
BLACK blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Souza has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. BLACK is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
BLACK is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Souza misses with a shot to the kidneys.
BLACK tries to pull guard but Souza holds him up against the cage and eventually BLACK drops back down to his feet.
BLACK jumps guard but Souza stands there with BLACK around his waist. BLACK gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Souza changes levels and goes for a takedown here. BLACK fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A head kick misses from Souza.
And that's the end of the fight!
BIG BLACK showed his dominance in that final round.
I think BLACK has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
