Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Columbo Dyke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poo Ping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Columbo Dyke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Poo Ping!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ping.

Ping scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Ping swings around for an armbar but Dyke sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ping's guard.
Dyke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dyke being controlled here momentarily.
Ping controls Dyke momentarily but Dyke frees himself.
Dyke wants to stand but Ping has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ping throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Dyke looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Dyke trying to control but Ping is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ping wants to sweep here but Dyke controlling him for the moment.
Dyke is fighting to break Ping's control of his arms but Ping is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Ping is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ping circles away from the clinch attempt.

Dyke tries to clinch up.
Ping fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ping lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Ping shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ping tries to control but Dyke wriggling away.
Dyke regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ping trying to control the action but Dyke is working from the bottom.

Ping trying to mount his opponent but Dyke defends it.
Ping is keen to just control but Dyke is a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ping tries to stand but can't do so whilst Dyke controls his leg.

Ping is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Dyke has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Poo Ping dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ping lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dyke's sensitive parts.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Ping scores with a takedown into Dyke's guard.
Ping wants to pass the guard but Dyke is keeping the position.

Ping gets to his feet - Dyke follows without any prompting.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ping misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ping throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Poo Ping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ping is breathing heavily.
Ping moves in looking to clinch but Dyke pushes him off.

Ping scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Ping is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dyke has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dyke is looking to regain half guard here but Ping keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ping throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Dyke keeps Ping under control for a moment.
Ping trying to control the action but Dyke is working from the bottom.
Dyke can't do much from the bottom here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ping wants to control for a moment but Dyke uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Ping is trying to stand up here but Dyke is controlling him well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dyke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ping paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ping shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dyke but Dyke pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ping has Dyke up against the cage in a clinch.
Dyke will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ping up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ping stalling in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Poo Ping showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Dyke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

so Ping counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Ping controls from within his opponent's guard.
Dyke keeping moving, preventing Ping from controlling successfully.
Ping should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ping pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dyke is keeping the position for now.

Ping is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ping is stalling in the full guard.
Ping with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Ping drops back looking for a leg! Dyke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dyke manages to kick Ping off! Ping jumps back into Dyke's guard.
Dyke pulls Ping in close to prevent any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ping pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dyke is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dyke fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ping looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ping seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dyke keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Columbo Dyke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dyke on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight!
Poo Ping comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ping has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
