Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tre Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spar has chosen Loser: Beck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tre Spar! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers looking to score a takedown here. Spar is defending well but Rogers drives through and ends up in Spar's guard. Spar looking for a guillotine here but Rogers defends easily.
Spar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Spar keeping full guard, as Rogers tries to pass. Rogers landing some decent shots from guard. Spar is looking for a triangle here but Rogers uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rogers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rogers looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Spar looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Spar looking for submissions off his back. Rogers landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Spar looking for submissions off his back. Rogers content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Spar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rogers pulls his head out easily. Rogers keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. We've been told by Rogers's head coaches at LOD: Stockton Cardio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers dives in and scores a takedown into Spar's guard. Spar has his foot on Rogers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogers works his way back into a safe position though. Spar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rogers is working Spar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spar working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rogers has passed into half guard!
Spar wants to improve his position but Rogers is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Spar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rogers controlling the pace. Rogers is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Spar sees it coming and defends easily. Spar gets full guard. Spar is looking for a triangle but Rogers pushes his legs off easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rogers pushes down on Spar's leg and manages to get into half guard. Spar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rogers pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Rogers dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Rogers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rogers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rogers seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Spar for as long as he can get away with. Spar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spar looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rogers passes into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Spar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rogers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Spar looks to move to half guard but instead Rogers has passed into mount! Damn! Spar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rogers throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Spar has his hands clasped together but Rogers breaks the hold and Spar is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rogers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sam Rogers! Our winner, Sam Rogers, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
