Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mite Byeson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Yuri Boyka was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mite Byeson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Boyka! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyka wants to clinch up but Byeson keeps it at a distance. Boyka tries to clinch but Byeson is having none of it. Byeson throws a poor cross that misses
and Boyka counters with a good, hard body kick but Byeson shrugs it off. Byeson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Byeson throws a looping overhand right but Boyka ducks down to avoid it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Boyka! But no joy. Boyka walks into a straight right hand from Byeson. Byeson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Boyka. Boyka takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jab by Byeson. Boyka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Byeson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Byeson misses with an uppercut. Boyka saw that one coming. Boyka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Despite the aggression on Boyka's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Byeson throws a hook to the side of Boyka's head but Boyka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Boyka drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Byeson defends it well. Boyka has Byeson up against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Byeson is trying to break the clinch but Boyka has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boyka throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A jab from Byeson misses. Byeson lands a left and a right that send Boyka crashing to the mat, dazed. Byeson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Boyka is rocked! Mite Byeson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Byeson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Boyka right on the button. Boyka goes down! Byeson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Byeson gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mite Byeson!
