Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mati Gengala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antero Teeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antero Teeri is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mati Gengala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antero Teeri! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teeri fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gengala. Gengala tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Teeri tries to clinch up. Gengala keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Teeri. Gengala fails with a takedown attempt. Gengala circles away from the clinch attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Teeri.
Teeri lands a leg kick that knocks Gengala off balance momentarily. Teeri gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gengala avoids the elbow strike from Teeri, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Teeri keeps control of Gengala as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Gengala is trying to pull guard but Teeri has him pressed against the cage. Teeri has Gengala pushed against the cage. Teeri pushes off an throws an elbow but Gengala leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Teeri lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Mati Gengala has been cut. A nice glancing elbow lands by Teeri.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Teeri - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gengala can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mati Gengala. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gengala jumps guard but Teeri turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Gengala is trying to break free. Nice elbow from Teeri. Gengala throws a knee to the head but misses.
Gengala tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Teeri just stands there and leans against the cage. Gengala is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Teeri is defending well. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Teeri. Gengala lands a nice uppercut. Gengala avoids a wild elbow strike from Teeri. Teeri lands an elbow that stopped Gengala in his tracks for a moment. Teeri throws a head punch that misses. Teeri blocks an elbow strike. Teeri throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Gengala gets through Teeri's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Teeri lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Mati Gengala's cut is getting worse. Teeri lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Mati Gengala's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Gengala takes an elbow to the forehead.
Jeez, Mati Gengala's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gengala trying to land knees to the body.
Teeri misses with a hook to the ribs.
Teeri comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mati Gengala's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Antero Teeri!
