Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Spiteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nem Sis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spiteri comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC -TNT. Sis has chosen Tsunami as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Spiteri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nem Sis! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Spiteri. Sis does a little dance to reset his feet. Spiteri has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Evil Empire: †AWAKENING† in the buildup to the fight. Spiteri checks the leg kick nicely there.
Spiteri swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Sis lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Dave Spiteri has been cut. Sis works Spiteri's body with a nice hook. Spiteri moves in looking to clinch but Sis pushes him off. The fight stays on the outside here - Spiteri looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Spiteri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sis was well out of range. Poor timing from Spiteri. Horrible takedown attempt by Spiteri or perhaps it was just good defense by Sis, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A jab from Sis misses. Spiteri misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sis.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Spiteri lands a nice looking body shot.
Sis throws a head kick but Spiteri moves out of range.
Sis throws a nice inside leg kick. Sis keeps Spiteri at a distance using the push kick. Sis lands a nice looking body kick. Sis looks for a takedown but Spiteri sprawls well. Spiteri lands a nice shot that snaps Sis's head back.
Sis thuds his shin into the meat of Spiteri's side. Spiteri lands a glancing blow to the side of Sis's head. Spiteri misses with a hook. Sis ducked under it nicely. Nice defenses there by Sis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sis lands with a thumping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Spiteri. Spiteri shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sis as he avoids it easily. Sis connects with a leg kick. Spiteri looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Sis tries to clinch up but Spiteri circles away and keeps his distance. Spiteri scores with a hook. Spiteri throws a shot from downtown. Sis moves away and avoids it. Sis lands a high kick!
Spiteri jabs at Sis's body. Sis throws a wild body kick that Spiteri sees coming a mile off. Spiteri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sis manages to avoid it. Spiteri connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Spiteri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spiteri is fending him off so far but Sis persists. Nope, Spiteri circles away and we're back to standing. Sis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spiteri jabs Sis right on the nose. Sis blinks but takes it well. Spiteri dives in and grabs Sis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sis pushes down on Spiteri's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Spiteri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spiteri looks to score with a jab to the body but Sis is just out of range. Sis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Spiteri connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sis scrambles back to his feet. Spiteri lands with an overhand left. Spiteri takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Spiteri is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Spiteri connects with a nice looking jab.
Sis moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Spiteri misses with a leg kick and Sis counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Sis trying to control the position from guard on top but Spiteri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Spiteri pulls Sis in close to his closed guard and prevents Sis from doing any damage or advancing position. Sis wants to control from the top but Spiteri keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sis won't allow Spiteri to sweep him here. Spiteri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Spiteri throwing shots but Sis is blocking nicely. Sis is refusing to be controlled, as Spiteri sits in half guard. Spiteri throwing shots but Sis is blocking nicely. Sis wants to control but Spiteri is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nem Sis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dave Spiteri's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Spiteri shoots in looking for a takedown but Sis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spiteri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Despite the aggression on Sis's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Sis slaps away a takedown attempt from Spiteri, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Spiteri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Spiteri. Sis does a little dance to reset his feet. Sis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
An inside leg kick lands from Sis. Sis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Spiteri's calf. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spiteri throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sis flicks out a counter leg kick but Spiteri steps away. Sis walks into a stiff left hand from Spiteri. Sis throws a head kick that Spiteri semi-blocks.

Spiteri attempts a counter takedown but Sis avoids it well and moves away. Spiteri takes a swing at Sis's ribcage but misses. Sis now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Spiteri throws a lazy uppercut
and Sis counters with an outside leg kick.
Sis throws a body shot but no joy. Spiteri drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sis sprawls and moves away. Sis throws a body shot but no joy. Spiteri misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sis.
And Sis tries to counter it with a takedown but Spiteri pushes his down on his head and steps out. Spiteri throws a series of punches but Sis moves out of range. Sis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spiteri. Sis walks into a stiff left hand from Spiteri. Spiteri throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sis counters with a thumping low kick. Sis throws a leg kick and Spiteri counters with a single leg into guard. Sis didn't expect that. Spiteri working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Spiteri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spiteri has managed to get both his arms back between Sis's legs - danger averted. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spiteri throws an elbow that misses. Sis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Spiteri's guard. Nice move by Sis! Spiteri wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Spiteri controls Sis momentarily but Sis frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spiteri controlling Sis's posture. Sis trying to control but Spiteri is working from the bottom. Spiteri tries to land a sweep but no joy. Spiteri can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sis controls the pace. Spiteri controlling Sis's posture. Sis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Spiteri shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sis's guard. Sis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sis looking for a guillotine here but Spiteri defends easily.
Sis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A close second round but Nem Sis will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Dave Spiteri's cut. That's time! Spiteri's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Spiteri throws a right and a left that both miss. Spiteri swings and misses with a shot to the body and Sis counters with a nice leg kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sis, right into the meat.
Spiteri pushes Sis up against the cage in a clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Sis. Spiteri is trying to break the clinch but Sis is controlling him. Sis working aggressively here.

Sis tries to work over Spiteri's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Spiteri is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spiteri swings wildly with an uppercut but Sis uses good head movement to avoid it. Sis looking for a takedown. A nice left hand lands by Sis.
Spiteri is trying to drag Sis to the mat but Sis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sis tries to throw a body punch but Spiteri avoids it by throwing Sis back against the cage. Spiteri misses with some punches.
A frustrated look appears on Spiteri's face as he tries to break the clinch. Sis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sis. Sis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Spiteri fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Spiteri. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Spiteri. The fighters circling - Sis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Sis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. It looked like Spiteri was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Nem Sis seems to be getting the better of the standup. A low kick from Spiteri is predictable there and Sis counters with a body kick. Spiteri throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Sis lands with a straight right. Spiteri didn't see that one coming. Spiteri tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sis defends well and Spiteri ends up having to push Sis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Spiteri takes a step back to recover. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sis lands a high kick!
Dave Spiteri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spiteri looks to land a left hand but Sis moved out of range nicely. Sis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Spiteri misses the jab. And Sis tries to counter it with a takedown but Spiteri pushes his down on his head and steps out. Spiteri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sis. Spiteri misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Spiteri on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

and Sis counters with a stiff right hand. Sis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sis lands with a good body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spiteri takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Spiteri pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sis scores with a nice head shot. Sis throws a shot to the body.
Spiteri throws a looping overhand right but Sis ducks down to avoid it. Sis misses with a two punch combination.
As Sis backs away, Spiteri returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Sis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Spiteri scores with a jab to the jaw. A head kick misses from Sis. Sis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Spiteri misses with a looping right. Dave Spiteri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sis is looking to land body kicks.
And that's the end of the fight! Nem Sis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Sis winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
