Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Sweat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avery McCurnin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Sweat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Avery McCurnin! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Sweat wants a takedown.
McCurnin is defending well against a takedown attempt. McCurnin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sweat backwards. McCurnin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mike Sweat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sweat lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. McCurnin walks into a jab. Sweat doesn't succeed with the takedown and McCurnin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Sweat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sweat throws a predictable looking body shot

Sweat is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCurnin advances to half guard. Oh Sweat is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! McCurnin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sweat! Sweat seems to have got his legs back now. Sweat tries to control the position but McCurnin now has his back.
Sweat is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCurnin has got one arm under Sweat's chin. This could be trouble... Sweat trying to control the other hand but McCurnin gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Sweat has tapped out! The fight is over!
