Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amavimus moves into range and clinches up with Lachida.
Lachida is looking to take this one to the mat.
Amavimus trying to control the position but instead, Lachida has worked for underhooks and has pushed Amavimus into the cage.

Lachida tries for a takedown. No joy.

Amavimus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Amavimus wants to get back to his feet but Lachida drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lachida thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Amavimus rushes Lachida and presses him up against the cage.

Amavimus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Amavimus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amavimus wants it to stay on the feet.
Lachida shoots for a double leg takedown but Amavimus sprawls well. He's pushed Lachida's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Despite the aggression on Amavimus's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Amavimus throws an overhand right that lands on Lachida's shoulder, as Lachida tries to avoid the shot.
Lachida appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Lachida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lachida shoots in but Amavimus avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lachida tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Amavimus defends well and Lachida ends up having to push Amavimus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lachida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lachida shoots in looking for a takedown but Amavimus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lachida's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Amavimus is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Amavimus slowing the pace effectively.
A nice right hand lands inside from Amavimus.

Lachida changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Amavimus fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
