The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Riley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bedford's guard.
Bedford is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bedford looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Riley puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Riley tries to pass to full mount but Bedford defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bedford is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Riley pulls his head out easily.

Riley decides to return to a standing position.
Riley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bedford is looking to chop away at Riley's legs.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Riley tries to close the distance and clinch but Bedford swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Bedford counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bedford is trying to control the action in half guard but Riley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Riley is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Bedford is tapping! Great win for Riley!
