The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glyde tries to clinch but Pencil moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Glyde or perhaps it was just good defense by Pencil, which made it look bad.
Glyde tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pencil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Glyde fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Glyde scoring well with a low kick there.
A telegraphed right hand from Glyde misses the target.
Pencil lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Owen Glyde has been cut.
Pencil ducks under a wild hook from Glyde.
Pencil throws a big counter combination but Glyde scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Pencil slaps away a takedown attempt from Glyde, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Glyde fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pencil checks it well.
Pencil misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Glyde misses with a leg kick.
Glyde fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pencil is out of range.
Pencil changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Pencil connects with a high kick.
Pencil misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pencil misses with a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Glyde connects with a leg kick. Pencil looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Glyde throws a lazy right hand but Pencil sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pencil connects with a looping right hand.
Pencil circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Glyde drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Pencil follows Glyde to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wooden Pencil!
