Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ike Quartey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theodore Malenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quartey doesn't manage to clinch there - Malenko circles away.

Quartey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Malenko sprawls well initially but Quartey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Quartey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Malenko trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Malenko in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Malenko is bucking up trying to escape but Quartey cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Malenko trying desperately to get to his feet.
Quartey lands with some strikes.
Quartey looking to control but Malenko is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Quartey sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Malenko wants to control but Quartey is having none of it.
Quartey sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Malenko wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Quartey.
Quartey trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Quartey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Quartey avoids the attempt from Malenko to control.

Quartey wants to finish this one by submission but Malenko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Quartey.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Quartey goes for an armbar but Malenko turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Malenko.
Quartey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Quartey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Malenko postures up in Quartey's guard and throws a big left but Quartey blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Quartey wants to clinch up but Malenko keeps it at a distance.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Malenko.
Quartey shoots in but no luck this time.
Quartey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Malenko swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Quartey wants to control from the top but Malenko keeps moving.

Malenko pushes a forearm under Quartey's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Quartey is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
