The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuevas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gracie.

It looked like Gracie wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Cuevas misses with an uppercut. Gracie saw that one coming.

Gracie was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Cuevas lands a hook that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cuevas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Cuevas pushes Gracie against the cage. Cuevas is working some dirty boxing. Cuevas pushes off with a quick right hook! Gracie goes down! Gracie tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Cuevas moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
