Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Hippo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Hippo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leroy Speed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, King Hippo! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed throws a right hand that misses
and Hippo counters with a right hand to the body. Hippo cracks Speed with a right hand to the side of the head. Speed tries to clinch there but Hippo circles away.
Hippo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Speed. Hippo slips a jab from Speed. Hippo ducks under a wild hook from Speed. Horrible takedown attempt by Speed or perhaps it was just good defense by Hippo, which made it look bad. Hippo is looking for the big counter here. Hippo scores with a hook to the body. Speed takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Speed lands a head shot.
It looks like King Hippo has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Speed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hippo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Speed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hippo.
Speed swings widly with a right hand
and Hippo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Leroy Speed has been cut. Hippo moves away from the strike by Speed. Speed throws a right hand that misses
and Hippo counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed misses with a lunging right hand
and Hippo counters with a left and a right that stings Speed. Speed throws an off balance right hand
letting Hippo counter with a right hand. Hippo moves out of range of the strikes. Hippo moves out of range of the strikes. Hippo feints a counter leg kick. Speed jabbing away but nothing is landing. Speed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hippo counters with a left and a right that stings Speed. Speed is breathing heavily. Speed throws an overhand right that lands on Hippo's shoulder, as Hippo tries to avoid the shot. Speed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Leroy Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Decent striking displayed by Speed there. Hippo dodges the punch combination from Speed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters circling - Speed throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Speed looks to land a right hand but Hippo moved out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hippo is looking to score with low kicks. Speed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hippo circles away. Hippo stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leroy Speed. That's going to take a lot out of him. A slow jab from Speed misses its intended target. Hippo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Speed tries to clinch but Hippo moves out of range. Hippo tries to clinch but Speed is having none of it. Hippo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hippo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Speed swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hippo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A shot to the body from Speed misses and Hippo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hippo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Speed. Speed looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Speed throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Speed throws a lazy uppercut
and Hippo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Speed getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hippo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Hippo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Speed rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hippo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Speed throws a poor cross that misses
and Hippo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Speed misses with a looping left. Hippo looks to land a combination. Speed sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Leroy Speed's cut is getting worse. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hippo misses with a double jab.
Speed is looking to counter the offense by Hippo and move into the clinch. Hippo clinches up with Speed and pushes him back against the cage. Hippo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Speed smiles and moves away.
We've been informed that Hippo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Hippo is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Hippo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Speed throws an off balance right hand
and Hippo counters with a left and a right that stings Speed. Speed takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Leroy Speed's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Speed is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hippo looks to land a combination but Speed avoids it well. Hippo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Speed. Speed throws a jab but it's blocked by Hippo. Hippo unleashes a big counter combination but Speed bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Speed waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hippo. Hippo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Speed just misses with a punch to the body.
Hippo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Speed misses with an uppercut
and Speed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Speed is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Hippo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Speed misses with a head kick.
Hippo scores with a one two! Speed had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Jeez, Leroy Speed's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Hippo is working the combinations to good effect here. Hippo clinches up with Speed and pushes him back against the cage. Hippo breaks the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hippo connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Speed! He's out on his feet! Hippo rushes in and drops Speed with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). King Hippo! In defeat, Leroy Speed stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back stronger and better'.
