Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Destin Craven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Hendricks will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Destin Craven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Hendricks! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendricks throws a jab but it's blocked by Craven. Craven is looking for a counter combo. Hendricks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hendricks misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Craven.

Hendricks swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Hendricks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hendricks with a jab. Destin Craven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hendricks throws a body kick that misses. Craven tries to clinch but Hendricks is having none of it. Craven misses with a two punch combination.
Craven wants to clinch up but Hendricks keeps it at a distance. Craven walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hendricks. Hendricks has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hendricks stuffs the takedown attempt from Craven. Craven gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Craven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hendricks as he jumps to the side. Craven misses with a head kick.

Hendricks lands a head kick. Craven smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Craven is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hendricks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Destin Craven. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hendricks works the jab nicely. Craven throws a chopping leg kick but Hendricks manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Hendricks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Craven is looking to control Hendricks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Craven avoid being mounted? Hendricks is nestled in close to Craven, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hendricks is working for a kimura but Craven is defending it quite comfortably.
Craven tries to roll over but Hendricks keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendricks missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Craven pushes Hendricks off looking to stand but Hendricks dives back in and keeps control.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Craven might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hendricks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hendricks prevents Craven from improving his position. Craven tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Hendricks manages to move to mount!

Craven has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hendricks is on him like a limpet, forcing Craven back against the cage. Hendricks has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Hendricks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Craven fails in his attempt to clinch. Craven misses with a head kick.

Hendricks is looking to control Craven's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hendricks avoid being mounted? Hendricks tries to get to full guard but Craven has control of the leg. Tony Hendricks has got the better of the ground game so far. Hendricks is trying to maintain the position but Craven is very close to passing his half guard. Craven is looking for a kimura but Hendricks is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Craven to get the leverage. Hendricks is trying to get back to full guard. Hendricks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hendricks is defending against the submission attempts here by Craven.

The fighters roll with the hold and Hendricks manages to kick Craven off! Craven jumps back into Hendricks's guard. Craven tries to free his leg and advance position but Hendricks is retaining full guard. Craven trying to control but Hendricks is working from the bottom. Hendricks has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Craven should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hendricks has tightened it up now! Craven should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
