Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Chirichigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Marston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Marston!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marston stuffs the takedown.
Chirichigno stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chirichigno wants it to stay on the feet.

Marston drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Chirichigno knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marston on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Marston wants to control from the top but Chirichigno keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marston thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Chirichigno is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marston defends well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Marston has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Marston is taking a breather. Chirichigno says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Marston bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Daniel Marston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Marston has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Marston can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chirichigno is looking to escape.

Marston looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Chirichigno covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
