Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar comes into the arena with Warriors of the World blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gaius Julius Caesar ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theo Matthews! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matthews keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Caesar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Matthews manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Caesar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Matthews circles away. Matthews tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Caesar paws at him with a jab and circles away. It looks like Gaius Julius Caesar has been cut. Caesar dives in and scores a takedown into Matthews's guard. Caesar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Caesar stops Matthews from standing up. Matthews is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Caesar with a flurry of punches that miss. Caesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Caesar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Caesar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matthews working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Caesar . Caesar won't allow Matthews to get back to his feet. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Caesar moves into the clinch. Caesar looking for a takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Matthews. Caesar is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Matthews pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gaius Julius Caesar . That's going to take a lot out of him. Matthews's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Caesar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Matthews is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Caesar asserts his dominance and retains side control. Caesar misses with the ground and pound. Caesar landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Caesar throwing shots but missing, from side control. Caesar working the ground and pound but Matthews is defending the strikes. Matthews is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caesar tries to advance to mount but can't. Caesar in side control, throwing shots but Matthews defends. Caesar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The strikes coming from Caesar are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Matthews is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Caesar asserts his dominance and retains side control. Caesar lands some shots froms side control. Caesar lands an elbow. Caesar trying to control the position but Matthews is working away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Caesar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Matthews taking a bit of punishment here - Caesar scoring with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matthews tries to escape but Caesar is in control. Caesar lands a few punches from side control. Caesar is chipping away with strikes.
Matthews is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Caesar has just dragged him back down to the mat. Matthews is not content to let Caesar control the position. Caesar working the ground and pound.
Matthews is rocked! Caesar scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Matthews is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Caesar can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
