Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rex Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rex Robinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oliver Dickens! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robinson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dickens. That did some damage! Robinson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dickens counters with a takedown into side control. Dickens tries to advance to mount but Robinson instead regains half guard. Dickens is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Robinson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dickens scores with a couple of nice shots. Dickens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dickens prevents Robinson from standing back up.
Dickens trying to control the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickens is working for a kimura here but Robinson manages to reverse the position and he's now in Dickens's guard.

Robinson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Robinson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rex Robinson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Robinson. Dickens shrugs it off though. Robinson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dickens paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dickens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dickens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Robinson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Robinson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Dickens thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Robinson seems a little lost for a moment, as Dickens dominates the positioning.

Dickens working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Robinson throws a series of punches but Dickens avoids them all with ease. Robinson throws out a loose jab but Dickens uses good head movement to avoid it. Dickens thows a left - swing and a miss! Dickens throws a jab but it's blocked by Robinson. Robinson throws a right and a left that Dickens avoids nicely. Robinson rushes Dickens and presses him up against the cage. Dickens goes for a takedown attempt but Robinson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Robinson tries to clinch up. Robinson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dickens throws a series of punches but Robinson moves out of range. Dickens gets tackled into the cage by Robinson. Robinson maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickens wants a takedown but no success here.

Dickens has Robinson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Robinson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Robinson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dickens backwards. Dickens wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Robinson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dickens.

Robinson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Robinson gets underhooks to prevent Dickens's takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Dickens is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Robinson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dickens is defending well for now. Robinson using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Dickens drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Robinson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Dickens's brow. Dickens has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Robinson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickens looking for the RNC. Dickens controlling well, preventing Robinson from escaping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dickens tries to get the hooks in deep but Robinson pushed the leg off. Robinson is trapped and Dickens is scoring with shots to the head and body. Dickens has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Robinson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Oliver Dickens has got the better of the ground game so far. Robinson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Dickens connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Robinson to escape the position.
Dickens lands strikes to the head. Dickens cracks Robinson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Robinson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Robinson is rocked! Dickens lands an elbow to the side of the head. Oh Robinson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dickens lands shots to the head and Robinson turtles up! The ref has seen enough and stops the fight! This one is over!
