Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Grind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balboa comes into the arena with Gonna Fly Now blaring out of the sound system. Al Grind has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rocky Balboa 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rocky Balboa ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Al Grind! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Grind or perhaps it was just good defense by Balboa which made him look bad. Grind should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Balboa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Balboa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Grind is squirming around, avoiding Balboa 's attempts to control the action. Grind is wriggling around trying to escape.
Grind is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Balboa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa goes for an armbar but Grind turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Grind. Grind would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Balboa wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Grind manages to pass to side control. Grind tries to pass to full mount but Balboa defends it. Balboa tries to roll over but Grind keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Balboa trying to control but Grind postures up.
Grind tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Balboa is looking for a sweep. Grind is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Grind shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Balboa counters with a takedown into side control. Balboa is breathing heavily. Balboa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grind keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grind gets back to half guard. Balboa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Grind is pressing down on Balboa 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Grind throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Grind manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Balboa manages to get himself to full guard.
Balboa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Balboa looking for a sweep. Not yet Balboa , not yet. Grind postures up.
Grind is looking to stand up but Balboa won't let him. Grind passes easily into side control. Nice work. Grind has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Balboa ! Balboa tries to hold on but Grind pushes him away. Grind pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Balboa is trying to reverse the position but instead Grind has taken his back - oops! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Al Grind will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Grind fails with the takedown and Balboa counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Balboa . Balboa keeps control of Grind as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Grind is trying to maintain a safe position but Balboa gets an underhook and turns Grind into the cage. Grind tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Balboa smiles and moves away.
Balboa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Grind avoids the body shot from Balboa .
Grind is looking to clinch but Balboa is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grind fails with a takedown attempt. Rocky Balboa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Grind. Balboa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grind as he jumps to the side. Balboa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rocky Balboa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

"Ole!" shouts Balboa as he jumps to the side. Grind moves in looking to clinch but Balboa pushes him off. Grind moves into the clinch successfully.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Grind lands a hook that snaps the head of Balboa backwards. Grind jumps into guard, dragging Balboa to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa stops Grind from standing up. Balboa sitting in guard here, content to control. Balboa wants to control from the top but Grind keeps moving. Balboa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Grind is proving hard to escape from. Grind pushes a forearm under Balboa 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Balboa is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Al Grind!
