Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperIII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavares comes to the cage accompanied by Devour the Day - Get Out of My Way. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from TupperIII.
Tavares misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
TupperIII shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tavares sprawls well. Tavares wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. TupperIII gets slowly back to his feet.
Tavares throws a hook to the side of TupperIII's head but TupperIII sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
TupperIII fails in his attempt to clinch.
TupperIII fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Henrique Tavares has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby TupperIII.
TupperIII looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw TupperIII working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tavares is looking to escape.
TupperIII is working for a submission of some sort.
TupperIII stops Tavares from getting back to his feet.
Tavares is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Turka Elite Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
TupperIII is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tavares is just riding it out for now. TupperIII eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tavares wants to get back to his feet.
TupperIII is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tavares has managed to free his arm - good work.
Tavares looks like he's trying to stand up.
TupperIII looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tavares kicks TupperIII off and gets back to his feet.
TupperIII tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tavares manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
TupperIII misses with a takedown attempt
and Tavares counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Tavares throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Bobby TupperIII has been cut.

and Tavares counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bobby TupperIII seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tavares lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but TupperIII circles away quickly and effectively.

Tavares connects with a crisp jab.
TupperIII tries to close the distance and clinch but Tavares swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
TupperIII shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sloppy strikes from Tavares. Those never looked like landing.
TupperIII darts in looking for a takedown but Tavares gets double underhooks and turns TupperIII into the cage.
TupperIII throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tavares's waist but Tavares gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing TupperIII off to one side.
TupperIII tries to clinch up but Tavares circles away and keeps his distance.
Tavares throws a big counter combination but TupperIII scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tavares lands a left and a right that send TupperIII crashing to the mat, dazed. Tavares thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
TupperIII is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
TupperIII switches off momentarily and Tavares cracks him with a monster right hand! TupperIII topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Tavares dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Tavares!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Henrique Tavares!
A very excited looking Henrique Tavares rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
