Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot - Surfacing. Jack Silver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Silver!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Silver, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ramirez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Silver closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Silver stands up.
Ramirez has his takedown stuffed

and Silver decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ramirez's guard.

Silver gets to his feet. Ramirez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Silver pushes Ramirez up against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ramirez is looking to advance position but Silver has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silver lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Silver is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ramirez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silver misses with a takedown attempt

and Ramirez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ramirez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Silver pulls Ramirez in close to prevent any damage.
Silver wants to stand and escape but Ramirez is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silver is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silver changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ramirez fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Silver looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Silver controlling the pace.
Silver tries to stand and escape but Ramirez actually recovers to full guard.

Ramirez looking for a sweep. Not yet Ramirez, not yet.
Ramirez keeping moving, preventing Silver from controlling successfully.
Jack Silver has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silver pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ramirez is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silver fails with the takedown

and Ramirez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silver!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Ramirez dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Silver throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Silver looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ramirez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Silver has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ramirez is working away from the top position though.
Silver manages to get to full guard.

Silver had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ramirez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silver Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ramirez's back instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ramirez wants to escape the position.

Silver looking to break Ramirez's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ramirez remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Silver will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Silver is trying to control but Ramirez is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Silver takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Silver can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ramirez is looking to escape.
Ramirez wants to hold on but Silver pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silver scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Ramirez?

Silver is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Ramirez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Anthony Ramirez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Ramirez counters with a single leg into guard. Silver didn't expect that.

And that's the end of the fight!
Anthony Ramirez showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ramirez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
