Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guadeloupe Canal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canal has chosen Tchaikovsky - The Nutcracker - Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Tiger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guadeloupe Canal! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canal looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tiger! Canal jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tiger is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tiger and Canal has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Canal taking a breather here. Canal looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Canal goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tiger rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Canal's guard! Nice work there by Tiger! Tiger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Canal is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger postures up in Canal's guard and throws a big left but Canal blocks it. Tiger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Canal is trying to control the position but Tiger postures up. Tiger with a flurry of punches that miss. Canal is looking for a triangle here but Tiger uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Canal looks to move to half guard but instead Tiger has passed into mount! Damn! Canal slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Canal actively working from the bottom here. Tiger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Canal tries to get to full guard but Tiger has control of the leg. Tiger is trying to work for a kimura but Canal is defending well.
Tiger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Canal doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tiger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Canal manages to get to full guard.
Canal looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Canal isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tiger stacks Canal on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tiger!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Canal manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tiger's best efforts. Canal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tiger is working away from the top position though. Canal is staying active underneath Tiger, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Canal looking for a kimura from the bottom but Tiger passes into side control! Canal looks gassed! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Canal wants to control but Tiger postures up. Tiger is looking to take a break and control but Canal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Guadeloupe Canal will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Tiger tries to clinch up. Tiger throws a series of punches but Canal avoids them all with ease. Tony Tiger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tiger tries to close the distance and clinch but Canal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Canal pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tiger is out of range and Canal settles back down. Tiger tries to clinch up. Tiger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Canal blocks a low kick nicely. Canal throws a series of punches but Tiger moves out of range. Tiger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger clinches up with Canal and pushes him back against the cage. Tiger manages to break the clinch.
Tiger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Canal trying his best to control but Tiger has mounted him. Canal is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Canal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tiger kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Tiger manages to capitalize on a mistake by Canal to take his back! Tiger is hanging on to Canal's back as he tries to escape.
Canal tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Canal tries to hold on but Tiger pushes him away. Canal working to try and regain half guard.
Canal is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canal takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Canal wants to hold on but Tiger pushes him away. Canal is looking to improve his position but Tiger isn't that keen on the idea. Tiger lands with some strikes. Tiger avoids the attempt from Canal to control. Canal is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger looking to secure an arm triangle but Canal defends it well. Tiger avoids the attempt from Canal to control. Canal tries to improve his position but instead Tiger has taken his back! Canal rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Canal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tiger preventing the sweep. Tiger is fighting to break Canal's control of his arms but Canal is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Canal wants to sweep here but Tiger controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tiger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tony Tiger dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Canal stuffs the takedown attempt from Tiger. Tiger gets slowly back to his feet. No luck for Canal with that takedown attempt. Tiger misses with a head kick.
Canal throws a hook but Tiger avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tiger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tiger misses with a takedown and Canal counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Tiger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tiger is defending against the submission attempts here by Canal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canal is just content to waste time from the top position. Tiger takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Canal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Canal trying to control but Tiger is working from the bottom. Canal looking to sit in guard and control but Tiger gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tiger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Canal pulls Tiger in close to prevent any damage. Canal is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Despite being in the dominant position, Guadeloupe Canal just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tiger has his takedown stuffed and Canal counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Canal. Canal showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tiger keeping moving, preventing Canal from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Canal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Canal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Canal trying to control but Tiger is working from the bottom. Canal wants to pass the guard but Tiger is keeping the position. Tiger throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Guadeloupe Canal has got the better of the ground game so far.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Canal misses the shot to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Guadeloupe Canal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Canal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
