Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Donay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shojo Shoujou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoujou dips to his left and cracks Donay with an uppercut!
Shoujou rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Donay moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shoujou finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Shoujou will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shoujou throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Donay is looking to counter the offense by Shoujou and move into the clinch.
Shoujou fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Donay tries to counter by clinching up but Shoujou breaks away and moves out of range.
Shoujou's coach down at Tōshi was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shoujou's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Shoujou sizes up Donay with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Shoujou escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shoujou moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Shoujou misses with a two punch combination.

Shoujou misses with a few strikes there.
Donay tries to counter by clinching up but Shoujou breaks away and moves out of range.

Shoujou closes the distance and clinches.
Shoujou scores with a shot to the side of Donay's head.

Shoujou breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Donay throws a looping overhand right but Shoujou ducks down to avoid it.

Donay tries to keep at a distance but Shoujou has taken the fight into the clinch.

Shoujou's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Donay tries to break the clinch but Shoujou is controlling the position.

Shoujou pushes Donay back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Donay slips a jab and a cross from Shoujou.
Shoujou tries to bum rush Donay with a series of wild strikes but Donay uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shoujou lands with a kick to the ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Donay throws the left hand but Shoujou avoids the punch easily.

Shoujou wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Shoujou obliges.

Donay is trying to break the clinch but Shoujou has him pressed against the cage.

Shoujou throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jonny Donay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Donay is trying to push Shoujou away but Shoujou has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
