Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theodore Malenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sylva has chosen Hit 'Em High (Remix) as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theodore Malenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marco Sylva!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malenko clinches.
Malenko prevents Sylva from breaking the clinch.
Malenko throws an elbow that misses.
Sylva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Sylva avoiding damage as Malenko throws knees to the body.
Malenko lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Sylva trying to land knees to the body.
Sylva trying to stall but Malenko improves his position.
Sylva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Theodore Malenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malenko tries to clinch but Sylva is having none of it.
Sylva clinches up against the cage.
Come on Malenko - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Malenko misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sylva.
Sylva looking to stall.
Malenko scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Sylva has had enough of the clinch but Malenko keeps him there for the moment.
Sylva is trying to break the clinch but Malenko has him pressed against the cage.
Malenko misses with a body punch.
Malenko missing with knees to the body.
Malenko lands a body shot.
Sylva taking a breather.
Malenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Malenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sylva looks gassed!
Malenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sylva's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Malenko gets to his feet. Sylva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Malenko misses with a few strikes there.
Malenko looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Malenko tries to clinch but Sylva moves away
and Sylva counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Malenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Malenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Malenko scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sylva has left one of his arms exposed and Malenko doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sylva screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Theodore Malenko!
