Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piolet Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Serget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Jaded. Serget has chosen Friends in lower places as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Piolet Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Serget!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Serget looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wilson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Serget scores with a couple of nice shots.
Serget scores with a couple of good hammerfists.


It looks like Piolet Wilson has been cut.
Wilson is trying to stand back up but Serget is controlling him
Serget slows the pace down in half guard.
Wilson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wilson tries to get out of the position.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet.
Serget is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Serget in particular looking to stall.
Serget thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wilson's head.

Wilson pushes Serget off and gets back to his feet.
Wilson misses with a series of wild punches.

Serget clinches.
Wilson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Serget has him pressed against the cage.

Serget wants the takedown. Wilson is fighting it off but Serget persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wilson's guard against the cage.

Serget controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Serget lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Serget lands a couple of digs.
Serget is stalling in the full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Serget fails with a takedown attempt.
Wilson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Serget.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Serget tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Wilson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Bob Serget has been cut.
Piolet Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wilson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wilson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Serget counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Serget is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Serget has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Serget throws a big elbow that misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Serget controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Serget passes easily into side control. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Serget needs to keep his hands up - Wilson had a free shot at his head there.
Serget fails to land the takedown.
Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Serget moves away.

Serget closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wilson's guard.

Serget is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Serget has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Serget controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Serget has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Serget passes Wilson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Wilson tries to kick Serget off but Serget keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Serget stalling.
Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Serget on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Serget throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilson was covering up waiting for the punch and Serget finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Serget sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Wilson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Serget is controlling him.

Serget landing with the ground and pound.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Serget advances to half guard.
Serget looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wilson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet.
Serget keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Serget working the head and body with strikes.
Serget landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Serget is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Serget working over Wilson with some ground and pound. Wilson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Serget is taking a breather. Wilson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Serget showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Serget goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward.
Wilson throws a right hand that Serget ducks under and follows up with a left that Serget also avoids with ease.
Some wild striking there from Wilson.
Serget is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and Serget decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wilson's guard.
Serget seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wilson has hold of Serget's hands but Serget slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Still in half guard, Serget seems content to control.
Piolet Wilson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bob Serget is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Serget uses his free foot to push down on Wilson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wilson.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Serget comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Serget winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
