Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Beattie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Wietrzny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wietrzny comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hunter-Fallen kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Igor Wietrzny acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Beattie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Igor Wietrzny! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wietrzny throws a hook but Beattie avoids it easily. Sloppy strikes from Beattie. Those never looked like landing. We've been hearing reports that Beattie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Wietrzny misses with an uppercut. Beattie appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Wietrzny connects with a leg kick. Beattie looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Wietrzny checks a low kick from Beattie. Beattie lands a jab to Wietrzny's midsection. Wietrzny throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wietrzny fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beattie. The fighters circling - Beattie throws out the jab but it was never going to land. The fighters circle momentarily. Wietrzny darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wietrzny misses with an uppercut. Beattie slaps away a takedown attempt from Wietrzny, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wietrzny lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wietrzny throws a nice looking combination but Beattie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wietrzny avoids the head kick by Beattie.
Wietrzny has a takedown stuffed. Beattie fires out a quick counter leg kick but Wietrzny just manages to avoid it. Wietrzny thuds a left hand into Beattie's body. Wietrzny throws a shot from downtown. Beattie moves away and avoids it. Beattie on the wrong end of a nice hook. A punch lands to the side of Beattie 's head but he takes it in his stride. Beattie thows a body kick. Wietrzny tries to catch it but that hurt him. Beattie throws a shot from downtown. Wietrzny moves away and avoids it. Wietrzny tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Good shot there by Wietrzny. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Beattie.
Wietrzny takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Chris Beattie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beattie attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. It seemed like Wietrzny was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A slapping body kick lands there for Wietrzny. Wietrzny has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Wietrzny tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beattie swats him away and circles back towards the center. Beattie scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wietrzny in his tracks. Wietrzny misses with a low kick. Beattie looks to land a combination. Wietrzny sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Wietrzny misses with a wild body shot. Wietrzny throws a nice looking combination but Beattie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wietrzny throws a good cross that connects.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wietrzny, right into the meat.
A punch combination from Wietrzny misses. Wietrzny scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Beattie doesn't seem bothered though. Wietrzny throws a wild body kick that Beattie sees coming a mile off. Beattie was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beattie ducks under a wild hook from Wietrzny. Beattie feints a jab promting Wietrzny to slip. Beattie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wietrzny slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Wietrzny looks to clinch and Wietrzny takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wietrzny is rocked! Beattie defending well as Wietrzny loads up on a big left hand. Wietrzny avoids the head kick by Beattie.
Beattie cracks Wietrzny on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Wietrzny falls backwards against the cage. Beattie follows up with more strikes that drop Wietrzny to his knees. Beattie keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Wietrzny! This one is all over!
