Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis throws a quick inside leg kick.
Lewis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And Mareck tries to counter it with a takedown but Lewis pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lewis dives in for a single leg takedown but Mareck sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mareck shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense.
Lewis tries for a takedown but Mareck sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mareck fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lewis throws a big counter combination but Mareck scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Lewis rushes Mareck and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Lewis jumps into guard, dragging Mareck to the mat.
Mareck is looking to work some ground and pound but Lewis has wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lewis is on top in guard.

Mareck has his foot on Lewis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lewis works his way back into a safe position though.
Lewis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mareck swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mareck bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Mareck throws a big right hand that misses.
Mareck is looking to pass into half guard but Lewis pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lewis is in guard.

Lewis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Mareck isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lewis stacks Mareck on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lewis!

Lewis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mareck regains guard immediately.

Lewis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mareck's head.
Mareck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lewis's waist but Lewis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mareck off to one side.

Lewis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lewis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mareck sprawls well initially but Lewis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
