Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nelson Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bradley Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Phillips looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Malone is trying to stand back up but Phillips is controlling him
Phillips is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Phillips throwing shots but Malone is blocking nicely.
Phillips is trying to control. Malone wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Phillips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Malone wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Phillips working over Malone with some ground and pound. Malone looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Phillips looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Malone with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Phillips working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Phillips wants to take a breather but Malone is having none of it.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Phillips working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Malone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Phillips looking to sit in guard and control but Malone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Phillips shoots for a double leg takedown but Malone sprawls well. He's pushed Phillips's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Malone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Malone appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Malone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Phillips's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Phillips can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Phillips changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Malone fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Malone enables Phillips to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Malone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Malone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Phillips pinned against the cage. Phillips gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Malone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Malone wants it to stay on the feet.

Malone tries to counter by clinching up but Phillips breaks away and moves out of range.

Bradley Phillips showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Phillips throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Malone wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Phillips has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Phillips dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Malone has had enough and taps out.
