Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Burmeister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Phace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burmeister comes to the cage accompanied by Firebreather by Thrice. Phace has chosen "Undecided" by Silverchair as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Burmeister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mack Phace! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phace throws a wild body kick that Burmeister sees coming a mile off. Mack Phace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice sprawl there from Burmeister as Phace shoots in. Phace keeps the fight on the outside. Burmeister is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Burmeister tries to clinch up. Phace shoots for a double leg takedown but Burmeister sprawls well. He's pushed Phace's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. John Burmeister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mack Phace. Burmeister clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burmeister is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Burmeister lands an elbow that stopped Phace in his tracks for a moment.

Phace trying to control but Burmeister is having none of it. Burmeister is looking to get to half guard. Phace controlling the position easily from mount. Burmeister tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phace can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burmeister is looking to escape. Phace throwing strikes here but Burmeister is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Burmeister wants to hold on but Phace pushes him away. Burmeister is squirming around, avoiding Phace's attempts to control the action. Burmeister manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phace throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Burmeister is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Phace is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Phace tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Burmeister.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Burmeister tries to get to full guard but Phace has control of the leg. Burmeister trying to control from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Phace seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burmeister does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Burmeister gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Burmeister will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mack Phace's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burmeister working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Phace. Burmeister keeping moving, preventing Phace from controlling successfully. Phace looking to sit in guard and control but Burmeister gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Phace has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Burmeister has passed into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phace is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Burmeister stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burmeister wants to clinch but Phace slips to the side and Phace counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Burmeister! Burmeister manages to regain half guard. Good work. Phace decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Phace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Burmeister is not content to let Phace control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burmeister is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Phace's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Burmeister is looking to escape. Phace stalling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Phace trying to control from half guard but Burmeister is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Burmeister. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burmeister, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
