Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Slevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leandro Ataides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Slevin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to timber. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ataides forces Slevin back against the cage and clinches.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ataides connects with a nice short shot to Slevin's temple.

Slevin has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Ataides is on him like a limpet, forcing Slevin back against the cage.

Slevin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ataides closes the distance and clinches up with Slevin, looking for a takedown. Ataides pushes Slevin against the cage but Slevin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ataides takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Ataides dives in and scores a takedown into Slevin's guard.
Slevin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ataides doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ataides manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Slevin has momentary wrist control but Ataides slips an elbow through the middle.

Slevin seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

That's time! Slevin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ataides tries to close the distance and clinch but Slevin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ataides shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Slevin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Leandro Ataides has been cut.

and Slevin counters with a nice right hand that sends Ataides toppling to the canvas! Ataides scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Slevin finish him?!
Ataides is rocked!
Slevin lands with a right and another and another! Ataides is in big trouble! Slevin lands again and this time it's lights out for Ataides! A quality knockout there for Slevin.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tony Slevin!
