Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dominik Dudek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omni Kakadu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omni Kakadu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominik Dudek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omni Kakadu!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudek will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kakadu closes the distance but Dudek moves to the side

and Dudek counters with a single leg into guard. Kakadu didn't expect that.
Kakadu is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kakadu gets back to full guard.
Dudek wants to stand and escape but instead Kakadu has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Dudek lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Dudek is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kakadu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kakadu has escaped and now he's on top!

Dudek seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Dudek has his foot on Kakadu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kakadu works his way back into a safe position though.

Kakadu told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Kakadu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kakadu wants to get up but he can't break Dudek's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dudek is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dudek wants to stand but Kakadu has his arm trapped.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Dudek fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kakadu to the ground. Dudek is now in Kakadu's guard.

Kakadu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dudek pulls his head out easily.

Dudek is nestled in close to Kakadu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dudek is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dudek is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kakadu can do to turn this around?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kakadu is trying to escape the position but Dudek is controlling the position.
Kakadu is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Dominik Dudek dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


A combination from Dudek does no damage.
Dudek scores with a jab to the jaw.
Dudek throws an overhand right that lands on Kakadu's shoulder, as Kakadu tries to avoid the shot.
Kakadu wants to clinch up but Dudek keeps it at a distance.

Kakadu gets caught napping as Dudek dives in and scores a takedown. Kakadu manages to retain guard.

Dudek gets to his feet - Kakadu follows without any prompting.
Dudek leaves Kakadu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dudek pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dudek.
Kakadu misses with a takedown attempt - Dudek sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dudek tries to counter with a takedown but Kakadu is quick to defend against it.

Dudek closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kakadu's guard.

Dominik Dudek overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dudek stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Dudek's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dudek looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kakadu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dudek seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kakadu for as long as he can get away with.

Dudek looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dudek slips a nice elbow through Kakadu's hands, connecting with Kakadu's forehead.

Dudek wants to work for an arm triangle but Kakadu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Dominik Dudek showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Dudek has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
