The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shanahan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Senna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shanahan lands a jab to the head.
Shanahan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Senna looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Shanahan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Senna cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Shanahan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Shanahan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Senna has time to react.

A little jabbing left from Senna on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Shanahan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Senna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shanahan pinned against the cage. Shanahan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shanahan throws a big counter combination but Senna scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Shanahan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Senna sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Senna was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Shanahan throws a jab when Senna was well out of range.
Senna appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Senna fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Shanahan to the ground. Senna is now in Shanahan's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Senna has hold of Shanahan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Shanahan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Senna cranks the arm and Shanahan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Shanahan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
