Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Wake!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron throws a head kick but Wake moves out of range.

Cameron tries to sprawl but Wake drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Wake defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cameron.

Wake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cameron is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wake asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cameron is breathing heavily.
Wake tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cameron's legs.
Wake wants to control but Cameron is keeping him busy.

Wake wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cameron, who protects the arm well.

Wake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cameron keeps working.
Cameron is pushing Wake's head away, looking to escape. Wake manages to hold on to the position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Wake drives through with a takedown into Cameron's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Wake must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Cameron throws a body shot but no joy.
Cameron tried to score with a low kick but Wake checks it.
Cameron misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wake wants to clinch.

Cameron ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wake moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wake closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cameron's guard.
Cameron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wake manages to get himself to full guard.


Cameron gets to his feet. Wake looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wake gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cameron has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wake is proving hard to escape from.
Wake is breathing heavily.

Wake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cameron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cameron manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cameron decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wake, up you get!

Cameron shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wake's guard.

Cameron's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wake is working an open guard so Cameron takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cameron connects with a body shot that sends Wake's belly button to the back.
Cameron misses the shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cameron. Wake does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cameron shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cameron showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wake gets tackled into the cage by Cameron. Cameron maintains the clinch.

Wake is trying to trip Cameron. He has hold of a leg but Cameron is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wake persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Cameron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cameron looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wake is defending well. Cameron quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wake has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cameron celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
