Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Nicholas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Richmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Nicholas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Richmond! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nicholas slips a straight right by Richmond. Nicholas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Richmond is fending him off so far but Nicholas persists. Nope, Richmond circles away and we're back to standing. Richmond keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A nice side step and Richmond releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Nicholas moves in looking to clinch but Richmond pushes him off. It seemed like Richmond was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A telegraphed right hand from Richmond misses the target. Nicholas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Nicholas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nicholas shoots in looking for a takedown. Richmond tries to sprawl out of it but Nicholas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richmond manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nicholas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Richmond defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richmond displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nicholas. Richmond felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Nicholas is looking for a kimura here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Richmond is riding his opponent, not letting Nicholas buck him off.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Richmond swats away the attempt to clinch by Nicholas. It looks like Jack Nicholas has been cut. Nicholas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Richmond sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nicholas somewhat. A little jabbing left from Richmond on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Nice takedown defense from Richmond. No joy for Nicholas on that attempt. Nicholas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Richmond is trying to control Nicholas's posture but Nicholas avoids it. Richmond really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nicholas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nicholas trying to control but Richmond is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richmond can do anything to dispel that myth. Nicholas breaks from Richmond's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richmond bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Nicholas looking to control.
Jack Nicholas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Richmond trying to control the position from guard on top but Nicholas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jack Nicholas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Charles Richmond is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Richmond content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that's the end of the fight! Charles Richmond comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Richmond winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
