Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garus Vikarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zwayne Baruk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vikarian has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Garus Vikarian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zwayne Baruk! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vikarian keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Baruk tries to close the distance and clinch but Vikarian swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A slow jab from Vikarian misses its intended target. Vikarian is breathing heavily. Vikarian showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Baruk.
Baruk fails in his attempt to clinch. A nice combination there by Vikarian.
Baruk shoots for a double leg takedown but Vikarian sprawls well. He's pushed Baruk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baruk is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vikarian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Garus Vikarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zwayne Baruk. Vikarian doesn't succeed with the takedown and Baruk counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vikarian won't be happy with that. Baruk slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baruk decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vikarian to his feet. Baruk looks to land a combination but Vikarian avoids it well. Vikarian slaps away a takedown attempt from Baruk, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vikarian tries to clinch there but Baruk circles away.
Baruk throws a head kick but Vikarian moves out of range.
Baruk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vikarian is looking for a counter combo. Nice jab there from Vikarian.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vikarian will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Baruk is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Vikarian misses with a head kick.
Baruk decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Baruk is looking to take a break and control but Vikarian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vikarian looks like he's trying to stand up.
Baruk wants to control but Vikarian is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vikarian keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Vikarian is staying active underneath Baruk, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Baruk prevents Vikarian from improving his position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Baruk avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Vikarian slips a jab and a cross from Baruk.
Baruk with a poor takedown and Vikarian counters with a nice double leg into guard. Baruk wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Vikarian is now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vikarian throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vikarian is thwarting Baruk's attempts to control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baruk wants to improve his position but Vikarian is controlling well.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Garus Vikarian will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Vikarian closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Vikarian has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Baruk is trying to keep an underhook but Vikarian manages to get the takedown into half guard. Baruk actively working from the bottom here. Vikarian prevents Baruk from improving his position. Vikarian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baruk on the ground. Vikarian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baruk keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baruk regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baruk looking for a guillotine here but Vikarian defends easily.
Baruk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Baruk keeping full guard, as Vikarian tries to pass. Vikarian is looking to stand up but Baruk won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vikarian wants to control from the top but Baruk keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Baruk misses with a double jab.
Vikarian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baruk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Baruk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vikarian sprawls well. Vikarian wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baruk gets slowly back to his feet. Vikarian half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Vikarian shoots in for a takedown but Baruk shows good takedown defense. Garus Vikarian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vikarian stuffs the takedown attempt from Baruk. Baruk gets slowly back to his feet. Baruk throws a series of punches but Vikarian avoids them all with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vikarian throws a head kick but Baruk moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Baruk! But no joy. Vikarian clinches up against the cage. Vikarian is trying to pull guard but Baruk has him pressed against the cage. Vikarian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Baruk avoids the head kick by Vikarian.
Vikarian leaves Baruk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Garus Vikarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zwayne Baruk. Vikarian shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baruk manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Vikarian wants to get up but he can't break Baruk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Baruk wants to get back to his feet but Vikarian is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Vikarian wants to stand but Baruk is controlling his posture from full guard. Baruk trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Garus Vikarian dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Baruk throws the kick towards the body but Vikarian avoids it. Baruk shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vikarian manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Baruk trying to control but Vikarian is working from the bottom. Vikarian looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Baruk has picked Vikarian up and slammed him! Vikarian can't keep hold of the triangle and Baruk manages to pass to side control! Vikarian takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Zwayne Baruk has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baruk wants to control but Vikarian is keeping him busy. Vikarian is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vikarian is not content to let Baruk control the position. Baruk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vikarian haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Baruk working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vikarian trying to control but Baruk flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Baruk working for a choke but Vikarian is defending well. Vikarian trying to get back to his feet but Baruk is in full control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baruk controlling from the back. Baruk not allowing Vikarian to control his hands. Vikarian prevents Baruk from getting a body triangle. Baruk is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Baruk scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Baruk tries to keep control of the position but Vikarian is staying busy. Vikarian is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Baruk gets his way!

And that's the end of the fight! Zwayne Baruk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Vikarian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
