Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimon Boets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rami Kottari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boets comes to the cage accompanied by Штиль. Dimon Boets has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 32 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimon Boets!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rami Kottari!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kottari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boets moves away.
A counter left hand to the body from Boets misses its target.
Boets connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kottari. Kottari circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Boets shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kottari defends it nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Boets darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Boets has been working on his balance at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kottari.
Boets scores with a one two! Kottari had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Boets uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kottari.
Boets drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kottari sprawls and moves away.
Kottari lands with a nice body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boets shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kottari eats them both and turns towards Boets to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Boets throws a right hand that Kottari ducks under and follows up with a left that Kottari also avoids with ease.

Boets scores with a jab. Kottari acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kottari has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kottari lands a right hook to the body.
Boets lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kottari moves away from the strike by Boets.
Kottari throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boets stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kottari paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boets takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kottari avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Boets went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kottari throws a shot from downtown. Boets moves away and avoids it.
Boets misses with a hook. Kottari ducked under it nicely.
Kottari drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Boets defends it well.

Boets keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kottari misses the shot to the body.
Boets was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kottari is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Boets rather than just go for the knockout.
Kottari takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Boets defending well as Kottari loads up on a big left hand.
Boets uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kottari.

Kottari stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kottari wants it to stay on the feet.

Boets fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kottari manages to avoid it.
Kottari throws out a counter right but Boets avoids it with no problem.
Boets takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Boets closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Kottari lands a big shot that drops Boets! Can he finish him?

It looks like Dimon Boets has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kottari is looking to work some ground and pound but Boets has wrist control.
Oh Boets is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kottari wants to control from the top but Boets keeps moving.
Kottari is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Boets seems to have got his legs back now.
Kottari must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Boets is trying to keep Kottari in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kottari not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kottari postures up in Boets's guard and throws a big left but Boets blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kottari remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kottari scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Boets is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kottari can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rami Kottari!
After winning the bout, Rami Kottari thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
