Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Eaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thamer Rbm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Eaton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thamer Rbm! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rbm shoots in looking for a takedown but Eaton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rbm's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rbm misses with a takedown attempt - Eaton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Eaton feinted there with a counter leg kick. Eaton misses with a takedown attempt and Rbm counters with a nice uppercut. Rbm moves into the clinch successfully.
Rbm jumps guard and drags Eaton to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Eaton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Eaton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rbm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eaton is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rbm looking for a guillotine here but Eaton defends easily.
Rbm is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eaton wants to control from the top but Rbm keeps moving. Rbm not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rbm is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Eaton wants to stand but Rbm has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rbm misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. As Rbm looks to move away, Eaton throws a big counter combo bu Rbm just gets out of the way. Rex Eaton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thamer Rbm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rbm connects with an inside leg kick. Eaton leaves Rbm with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Eaton seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Eaton shoots in but Rbm avoids the takedown attempt easily. Eaton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Eaton lands in his opponent's guard. Eaton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rbm preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rbm trying to keep a closed guard but Eaton is proving a slippery customer.
Eaton throws a big elbow that misses. Eaton's corner is telling him to maintain position. Eaton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Eaton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Eaton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Eaton with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Rbm has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eaton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Eaton has gone for a leg lock! Rbm slips out almost immediately though and dives into Eaton's guard. Eaton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eaton looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rbm is defending well. Eaton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rbm has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Eaton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rex Eaton!
