Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Spartan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Spartan tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spartan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Spartan throws a quick inside leg kick.
Spartan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nelson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spartan is fending him off so far but Nelson persists. Nope, Spartan circles away and we're back to standing.
Spartan is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Nelson with a body shot.

and Spartan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nelson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Spartan is taking a breather. Nelson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Spartan is looking to take a break and control but Nelson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nelson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spartan is working away from the top position though.

Nelson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spartan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mark Spartan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Spartan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
