The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gooker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mies to the mat! Mies manages to get full guard.
Mies has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gooker doesn't defend quickly enough and Mies has managed to lock this one up! Can Gooker escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mies on a fantastic submission victory.

A determined Pit Mies didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
