Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dr Schultz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Carlton! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlton throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carlton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Schultz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Carlton. Carlton swings away with a leg kick that misses. Schultz is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Carlton lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Carlton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schultz appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Schultz throws a looping overhand right but Carlton ducks down to avoid it. Carlton looks like he wants to counter punch here. Schultz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carlton.
Kyle Carlton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schultz throws a low kick but it's checked well by Carlton. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Carlton. Carlton drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A combination from Schultz does no damage. Carlton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schultz was well out of range. Poor timing from Carlton. It appears Schultz was looking to counter with a kick there. Carlton misses with an uppercut. Schultz saw that one coming. Schultz has Carlton up against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schultz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Carlton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Schultz digs a right hand into Carlton's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Carlton's gas tank.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlton lands an elbow just above Schultz 's eye. Schultz lands with a light punch inside. Schultz missing with knees to the body.
A short uppercut from Carlton. Carlton is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Schultz is keeping busy. Schultz avoids a wild elbow strike from Carlton. Schultz tries to land knees in the clinch but Carlton avoids the damage to the body. Carlton keeps control of Schultz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Schultz connects with a nasty looking knee right to Carlton's face.
It looks like Kyle Carlton has been cut. Carlton lands a nice shot to the body. Schultz misses with a knee strike.
Carlton misses with the head strike.
Carlton lands a left hand.
Carlton lands with a short head shot on the inside. Carlton lands a shot to the body. Carlton managing to block the knees to the body from Schultz.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carlton creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Schultz's defenses.
It looks like Dr Schultz has been cut. Carlton working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Schultz misses with a knee to the head. Carlton is trying to break the clinch but Schultz is controlling him. Carlton wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Carlton creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Carlton tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Schultz's elbow. Schultz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Schultz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carlton.
Schultz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Carlton lands a jab-cross combination. Carlton lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. The fighters circle, before Carlton throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Schultz's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Carlton lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
