Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Courtney Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alec Ramale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alec Ramale has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Courtney Todd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alec Ramale! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramale looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Todd has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ramale is working away from the top position though. Todd blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ramale. Todd is looking for a sweep. Ramale is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Todd trying to hold on to Ramale's head to control him but Ramale postures up.
Todd wants to get back to full guard. Ramale seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Todd tries to roll over but Ramale keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Todd trying to hold on to Ramale's head to control him but Ramale postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramale not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ramale tries to pass to full mount but Todd defends it. Ramale is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Todd is just riding it out for now. Ramale eventually gives up the hold. Ramale is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ramale takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The fighters are battling for position here. Todd manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Todd controls Ramale momentarily but Ramale frees himself. Ramale stopping the sweep attempt from Todd. Ramale throwing strikes from guard but Todd blocks nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Courtney Todd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ramale throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Todd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ramale is in Todd's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramale postures up.
Todd wants to stand but Ramale is controlling the position. Ramale wants to stand but Todd is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Todd trying to control but Ramale is working from the bottom. Ramale wants to stand and escape but Todd is having none of it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ramale wants to clinch up but Todd keeps it at a distance. Todd tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ramale manages to circle out of the way. Ramale lands a slapping body shot.
Ramale shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Todd's guard. Ramale postures up in Todd's guard and throws a big left but Todd blocks it. Ramale is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Todd seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ramale got a little sloppy there for a moment and Todd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramale has managed to get both his arms back between Todd's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramale closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Todd quickly recovers to half guard. Ramale wants to work for an arm triangle but Todd is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Todd wants to control but Ramale is keeping busy and won't allow it. Alec Ramale has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Todd has his hands clasped together around Ramale's back. He's all about the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Todd has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ramale is working away from the top position though.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ramale throws a push kick but Todd slaps the foot to one side. Ramale looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ramale wanted to stand there but Todd had control of the position. Todd has control of Ramale's left arm, preventing Ramale from doing any damage. Todd looking to control but Ramale passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Todd gets full guard. Todd looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ramale postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ramale must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ramale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ramale wants to control from the top but Todd keeps moving. Todd pulls Ramale in close to his closed guard and prevents Ramale from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ramale moves into range and clinches up with Todd. Ramale prevents the takedown attempt.
Ramale wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Todd working hard to break the clinch. Ramale has Todd pressed against the cage, preventing Todd from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Todd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ramale walks away with a smile on his face. Todd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ramale tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Todd gets caught napping as Ramale dives in and scores a takedown. Todd manages to retain guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ramale wants to pass the guard but Todd is keeping the position. Alec Ramale showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramale accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ramale controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Todd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramale stops Todd from standing up.

Todd trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Todd loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ramale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Todd missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ramale connects with the punch. Todd has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Todd gets caught napping as Ramale dives in and scores a takedown. Todd manages to retain guard. Ramale has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Todd preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ramale wants to pass the guard but Todd is keeping the position. Todd trying to keep a closed guard but Ramale is proving a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight! Alec Ramale comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ramale has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
